MÒR Mapping is based on the Sunshine Coast, so most of our flying happens here: from the coastal suburbs between Caloundra and Coolum to the slopes of the Blackall Range.
Including: Caloundra, Kawana, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Buderim, Sippy Downs, Nambour, Palmwoods, Woombye, Coolum, Maleny, Montville.
Two kinds of country
The coastal strip is flat and built up: estates, canals, new subdivisions and the growth areas around Caloundra South and Palmview, where earthworks and construction progress mapping do most of the work. Inland, the Blackall Range is steep, wooded and wet, with acreage, orchards and dams, where terrain models and repeat orthophotos show what a walk around the property can't.

Parts of the coast sit under controlled airspace around Sunshine Coast Airport at Marcoola, and Caloundra has its own aerodrome. We check every site before quoting and tell you up front if the location needs extra planning or an approval.
Afternoon sea breezes and summer storms are part of flying here, so we plan coastal jobs for the calmer morning hours where we can.

Questions about the Sunshine Coast
Do you charge travel on the Sunshine Coast?
There's no travel charge along the coast from Noosa to Caloundra, or within 30 km of Nambour. Further out, travel is quoted up front with the job. The first site visit and consultation are free.
Can you map a site near the airport?
Often, yes, with more planning. We check the airspace for every site and tell you before quoting whether it needs an approval or has limits.
